FIONA APPLE - FETCH THE BOLT CUTTERS (2LP) (180GM) VINYL
FIONA APPLE
Regular price
$68.00 AUD
Praise for Fiona Apple's fifth full-length album Fetch The Bolt Cutters has been coming from all quarters since its release. Its Metacritic score is a heady 100 — the site aggregates critics' reviews into average scores out of 100 — and the 23 critics cited reflected on the album's brilliance. On a purely musical level, writes Seth Wilson for Slant Magazine, "...it's a bold experiment in pop craft, a collection of songs on which Apple stretches her talents in adventurous new directions. ... Fetch the Bolt Cutters is Apple's most timely-and timeless-effort yet."
Ellen Johnson, writing in Paste Magazine, says the album is eerily clairvoyant and brash in the most extraordinary way. "Fetch the Bolt Cutters is exactly what so many expected it to be: brilliant. ... Fiona Apple can do with a piano, a handful of percussive items and her urgent voice what some could only hope to do with an entire orchestra."
Fetch The Bolt Cutters was self-produced and features contributions from Davíd Garza, Sebastian Steinberg, and Amy Aileen Wood.
