Fueled by Black Francis' oft-maniacal vocals and bizarrely catchy songs, the Boston-based quartet - rounded out by bassist/vocalist Kim Deal, guitarist Joey Santiago and drummer David Lovering - consistently crafted fascinating albums during their brief but headstrong run.
