DESCRIPTION:
The previously unreleased quad mix!
Transferred from the original half-inch four-channel master recordings.
Blu-ray with 192/94 resolution quadraphonic and hi-res stereo mixes.
Quadraphonic sound, or 4.0 surround sound, utilizes four audio channels connected to four speakers positioned at the corners of a listening space. The multi-tracked audio is mixed dimensional, immersing the listener in an expansive soundscape.
The sixth studio album from Rod Stewart, Atlantic Crossing, includes hit tracks "Sailing" and "I Don't Want to Talk About It." Peaking at No. 1 on the U.K. charts and No. 9 on the Billboard Top Pop Chart, Atlantic Crossing acts as home to some of Stewart's biggest hits. As Stewart's first record created in North America, the work represents a new era, leaning into his international scale.
