DESCRIPTION:

Thievery Corporation released their debut album in 1997, a classic album that defined an era alongside Massive Attack and Portishead.

The album still sounds perfect on a summer's day, with chilled beats and vocal samples that create a trip-hoppy, acid jazz mutant. It's a mix of Massive Attack and Mondo Grosso, making you want to dance, have sex, or lounge by the pool.

The phrase "trip-hop" was coined in 1994 during the influx of alt-rock techno music, perfectly describing the acid-jazz tracks on this record. With influences from lounge, electronic, and folk music, this album caters to everyone.

The remastered album includes the signature track "Shaolin Satellite", along with bonus tracks "Sun, Moon, and Stars" and "Sleeper Car".
